This project is for the rehabilitation of Bannockburn Bridge (03-10.4) which is located on County Road 3 (Mill Road), 0.12km east of Bannockburn Line. The structure is a three-span concrete slab on steel girder bridge over the Bannockburn River, built in 1964.

Construction for the bridge rehabilitation was awarded to McLean Taylor Construction Ltd. Construction is anticipated to commence mid-June of 2025, with an estimated duration of 20 weeks.

The scope of the bridge work involves replacing the superstructure which consists of the deck, girders, bearings and barrier walls, the new deck will then be waterproofing and paving, and new approach guiderail and end treatments will be installed. The substructure components consisting of the abutments, and piers remain in good condition and will have isolated concrete patch repairs performed. Drainage improvements to the roadway 500m westward will also be performed, which will consist of minor culvert replacements, paving portions of the shoulder down the hill, and adding rock protection to the ditches near to the bridge location.

The roadway will be fully closed at the bridge location, between Bannockburn Line and Smirnoff Line to facilitate the bridge superstructure replacement. A signed detour route will be installed utilizing Highway 4 (London Road), County Road 84 (Zurich Hensall Road) and County Road 31 (Parr Line). Access to private residences within the closure zone will be maintained at all times during construction.
