The need for more, diversified and affordable forms of housing continues to impact communities and new options are available to help meet this need.
New Housing Options
Huron County municipalities have implemented numerous changes to land use planning policy and zoning to create ‘as of right’ housing options including Additional Residential Units (both urban and agricultural), multi-plexes in fully serviced neighbourhoods, reduced parking requirements, and streamlined zone requirements for multi-unit residential buildings (eg. apartments).
