Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Huron County Immigration Partnership!
When an opportunity that suits your area of interest and availability comes up, we will contact you.

We are currently in need of several volunteers to assist with the 2024 Huron Multicultural Festival in Goderich on June 28th and 29th. We are looking for help with:

  • Event setup and takedown
  • Welcoming people to the festival
  • Offering first aid to people
  • Helping in the children's areas

Please note: we receive a large number of applications and there are limited volunteering placement opportunities. Do not be discouraged! There are always exciting and engaging opportunities coming down the line. We will keep you posted as we review our applicant pool regularly.

What happens after your apply?

We will contact you with a suitable opportunity. If you are interested, you will be instructed on the next steps. In order to take part in any volunteering opportunities at the Huron County Immigration Partnership there are five steps to complete:

STEP 1: Complete a Volunteer Registration Form
STEP 2: Participate in a friendly 10 min interview to find the right role for you!
STEP 3: Read and sign our Volunteer Policies
STEP 4: Complete a Criminal Background Check (when applicable)
STEP 5: Attend a volunteer orientation session

The personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 and may be subject to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 1990. Information will be used for the purposes of developing a volunteer data bank within the County of Huron's Economic Development department, specifically by the Huron County Immigration Partnership. The personal information may also be used by authorized staff at the County of Huron as database host for the purposes of administering and maintaining the data based on which the personal information is kept.
