It's been just over one year since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. At this time the County of Huron would like to extend gratitude to County staff who have been working tirelessly on the frontline to prevent and slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. These individual staff members and teams have been working behind the scenes to help keep vulnerable members of our community safe and healthy.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to all Huron County frontline workers,” said Warden Glen McNeil. “We couldn’t have responded to the hurdles this year has brought us without your commitment, dedication, and hard work.”
Thank you, Huronview and Huronlea!
In addition to providing exceptional care to residents, staff at Huronview and Huronlea Homes for the Aged have taken on many additional responsibilities in order to maintain a loving, safe, and healthy environment for residents, families, and staff.

Thank you, Emergency Services!
This year, Huron County Emergency Services went above and beyond by establishing a specialized Community Paramedicine Team that provides additional COVID-19 care support for the community. This is a dedicated team of five paramedics who received additional training, including palliative care education. This team has been working on the frontline of the County’s pandemic response, providing numerous services to Huron residents.
